THE POWER OF SILENCE. LISTENING AND CONNECTING TO THE INNER PEACE.

There is such power in silence. On any given day, our brains process  millions of piece of information and stimuli and are always searching for more. This fast paced world never leaves us fully satisfied. Often we are worried that if we take moments of silence, that we may miss something important or let important thoughts slip away. What is the point of silence? At times the silence can seem louder than a busy train station. It has a way of surrounding you, pulling you inward and away from the physical world. You find yourself in a vast abyss. It is here that you are met with the true observer. It is here that awareness of perspective is realized. I feel that many people are afraid if this place, afraid to be confronted by their true self. Herein lies a very different world.

Silence allows us to push the reset button. The clutter of the mind is wiped clean like a white board. Another way to visualize this is to imagine your thoughts floating through the sky that is your mind, and settling on the ground, one by one and melting away. Do you find it difficult to make clear concise decisions when your mind is full of chatter? A busy mind can keep you awake at night an overwhelmed with fear of the what ifs. What many people don't realize is that in the space of silence, all that was thought, seen, or heard, can finally be processed. The useful bits and pieces are filed away for a later time. A sense of balance is restored and our emotions reset. Silence can be easily obtained throughout the day and you can think of it as an easier version of meditation.

From the space of silence, it is easier to pick up on the energies around you. Take this time to feel all of the sensations around you. When possible, observe moments of silence from within nature. Also, take this time to become very aware of your body. Bring awareness to your heart beating and the steady breaths. The subconscious mind suddenly comes into view from this space. Connections with other dimensional beings can possibly be achieved as well. There is simply less interference when in a state of silence, so possible incoming messages can be interpreted.

A moment of silence does not have to seem like in impossible task. With persistence, silence can be weaved into a busy day. Do your best to eliminate or reduce stimuli. While cleaning the house, do so in silence rather than feeling the urge to play music. While waiting in line at the store, find your self contemplating about the day's activities. It is important to not designate this time to worry or to make any kinds of mental lists. Just simply be. I have found myself slipping in to these states of beingness quite often. At times it feels as if the physical world just there in front of me evaporates for a brief moment. It is as if i'm not really observing anything, but rather just being present and aware.

And so it is. Embrace the space of silence. It is our inner world, our inner "outer space." Get lost in your awareness and bask in its simplicity!

With Love,
Laura
